“We are thrilled to welcome Betsy Hoffman Hundahl to the MAA where her rich expertise in marketing communications, events management, and educational outreach and, above all, her joy for the arts, are true assets to our long term growth.” Kristine Fisher- Executive Director
Betsy brings to the MAA a background as an advertising professional as well as experience in the field of museum work. Her prior position, at the neighboring Marblehead Museum, has given her a solid foundation in working for a small non profit cultural organization. Recently, she was an intern for the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem leading Adult Public programs at their popular PEM PM evenings. She adds experience in hospitality and development from other volunteer positions with the PEM Annual Antiques Show and the Marblehead Garden Club. Betsy has also been an Art enrichment teacher in the Marblehead public schools and worked for Marblehead retail shops.
Betsy received her B.A. in Art History from Middlebury College in Vermont. She also holds a diploma in Painting and Printmaking from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She is a juried artist member of the MAA and has exhibited and sold her work.
As a Marblehead native, Betsy has a deep connection to the town. She is passionate about a vibrant local arts community and she recognizes the importance of reaching beyond the borders of Marblehead to connect to the wider world of Art.
