Drawing the human face is the focus of this four week series. These classes will show you how to draw portraits from photos, the fundamentals of drawing techniques, and knowledge you need to draw any face. The workshop includes an introduction to drawing principles like proportion, form, value, visual awareness, and sensitivity. It will help take your drawing to the next level.
This workshop is open to all skill levels.

Artist Instructor Bio:
Tereza Swanda is a new instructor at the Marblehead Arts Association. She grew up in Swampscott and recently relocated back to the North Shore from the West Coast. She graduated from Mass Art in Boston with a Sculpture BFA and a Painting BFA and holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier. She is nationally certified in Montessori education and has taught art in places as far afield as Prague, New York City and Redmond, WA. She has also taught Art Appreciation courses at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Boston. Tereza has taught studio classes at the college level at Mass Art, and most recently at Dean College in Franklin, MA. She has exhibited her own work extensively both locally, nationally and internationally over the last ten years. Tereza has been awarded many prizes for her work and completed multiple artist residencies.
