Event Planning Information

Members  MAA members receive a 10% discount on rentals.

Additional Hours  Rentals that go beyond the four-hour time period will be charged an additional $100 per hour.

House Policies  We are in a neighborhood location therefore outdoor activities must end by 10pm. All other activities need to end no later than 10:30 pm, with all equipment removed by 11:00 pm. King Hooper hours are Tuesday–Friday, 12–4 pm, Saturday, 11–5pm and Sundays 1–5 pm. A function manager, designated by Marblehead Arts, will be present to help facilitate the event. A charge of $15 per hour will be paid directly to the manager at the end of the event.

Tables and Chairs  The King Hooper Mansion has six 60″ round tables available for rent at a cost of $8 each. Fifty upholstered stacking chairs are also available at $2 each. The Wine Cellar is equipped with two rooms, tables, chairs, and benches that seat up to 50. Ivory tablecloths are available at $20 each.

Entertainment  A Steinway Grand Piano is available for use when the Ballroom is rented.

Payment and Contract  A Steinway Grand Piano is available for use when the Ballroom is rented. Payment and Contract: To hold a rental date, lessee must complete the King Hooper Mansion rental contract and make a non-refundable deposit of $100. The balance of the rental fee, as well as additional charges for table, chair and table cloth rental, is due 30 days prior to the rental date. In the event of a cancellation, payment will be refunded up to 14 business days prior to the scheduled event (less the $100 deposit.) A fully refundable damage deposit of $200 is required in the form of a separate. This check should accompany the rental balance check and is returned upon conclusion of the event, provided there are no damages.

The Garden seats up to 50 people. The gardens are beautifully maintained by the Cottage Gardeners.
