Winter Member Exhibit & Pieces of Eight Fundraiser Exhibit:
November 18 – December 24
Opening Reception – Sunday, November 19, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm
Free and Open to all, refreshments will be served and artists will be in attendance to engage about their work.
The Marblehead Arts Association will feature the work of its Artist Members as it traditionally does to kick off the holiday season. Intended to coincide with the holiday decor of the King Hooper Mansion by the five garden clubs of Marblehead, this exhibit provides great holiday gift giving opportunities. This exhibit is not juried but will be judged for prizes in Fine Arts and Photography categories. There will be ballots available for visitors to cast votes for their favorite piece with a People’s Choice Award to be announced at the end of the exhibit. This is an open exhibit, all mediums are welcome. MAA Artists may submit 1-2 pieces. The MAA may need to select only one piece due to space restrictions. Submission fee – $10 ea.
During our December exhibit, the MAA also presents the third annual Pieces of Eight. This fundraiser exhibit is in keeping with the MAA’s long-standing history of offering small works called Hooper’s Treasures.
