Events Spring/Summer 2017 The MAA enjoys partnering with Community events such as The Art Walk on May 20,2017 and the Marblehead Arts Festival. Its Painting the Town exhibit and Artisans’ Marketplace over the July 4th weekend continues to be a community tradition here at the MAA. In addition to the Artists’ Programs that coincide with their exhibits, the MAA offers programming for Artist members & Art lovers. A program titled Marketing on a Budget for Artists will be offered in March and a Paint & Sip Pottery night is scheduled for mid April. The Art of Spirits Tastings will continue to feature local distilleries and breweries in an educational and fun way a few times a year. Our Annual Meeting held in mid June on a Thursday evening always draws a great crowd of our members as we reflect upon our accomplishments of the past year, vote in a new board and share exciting plans for the coming year. The MAA Scholarship is given to a deserving High School student at this event as well. For folks interested in performing or just listening there are musical programs and impromptu appearances by the Acapella singing groups of the Marblehead High School and Glover’s Regiment singing their songs on July 4th. Talks pertaining to all manner of interesting topics are scheduled periodically. Local historians, Judy Anderson, Bob Booth and Jim McAllister are frequent guest lecturers. We encourage members and visitors to bring friends and family who are visiting from out of town. Check our calendar listings for more description and information on specific upcoming events. The MAA is planning vibrant and engaging programming from now through July 2017. Please stay tuned. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday & Sunday, noon-5 pm and Saturday, 10-5 pm. Closed Monday.
